As more countries are looking at reducing foreign oil dependence and using cleaner burning fuels, the amount of biodiesel blended into diesel fuel is increasing rapidly. The InfraCal Biodiesel Blend Analyzer is a fixed-filter infrared analyzers that, unlike FTIR spectrometers has no moving parts. It is a rugged, compact, portable instrument that is easy to use by non-technical personnel. It provides a direct readout in % biodiesel (FAME) in diesel giving the user the capability to measure the biodiesel blend ratio on-site -- at a fuel loading rack, in a laboratory, or from a pump at a fueling station – in less than one minute. The InfraCal Biodiesel Blend Analyzer is ideal where a single, repetitive biodiesel blend analysis is needed.
