InfraSpec ppm Level Biodiesel Detection

The InfraSpec Biodiesel Detection Spectrometer, Model EB, with a flow-through sample system and automated syringe pump, detects biodiesel in diesel fuel down to 100 ppm in under 5 minutes at a cost less than other analytical instruments.  It provides an easy, on-site check for users wanting to detect ppm levels of biodiesel in diesel such as pipeline operators who are concerned about residual biodiesel getting into their jet fuel shipments, emergency diesel generator operators who store fuel for years and are worried about bacterial growth clogging their filters, or tactical military and emergency vehicles that cannot afford fuel problems during a crucial operation.

The integrated flow-through transmission cell allows for the detection of biodiesel in diesel down to 0.01% (100 ppm) and up to 2% without dilution.  Higher biodiesel levels will show a positive result without dilution and an accurate reading can be established by diluting the fuel to be within the calibration range.
