Whether you are a fuel distributor, blender, producer or regulator a quick test for determining the percent biodiesel in the diesel fuels may be necessary. All of our biodiesel (FAME) blend products are compact, portable, rugged and specifically designed for on-site or laboratory testing by non-technical personnel. The analysis is done in a few minutes. Wilks has three options available for biodiesel blend analysis.

The InfraCal 2 ATR-B is the latest introduction to our easy-to-use analyzers for measuring biodiesel blend. The new InfraCal 2 uses the same measurement technology as our InfraCal HATR-T2B with added features such as data storage and transfer, multiple calibrations and password protection for instrument settings. Both InfraCal Analyzers are stand-alone fixed filter infrared instruments that use the wavelength for biodiesel analysis as specified in ASTM 7371 and EN 14078.

The InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometer is a multi-wavelength infrared spectrometer capable of more than one measurement. Measurements include percent biodiesel in diesel, ethanol in gasoline and water in ethanol. The InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometer utilizes a PC for operation which allows for more data storage and transfer capabilities as well as infrared spectral data if required.

Calibration Information

The InfraCal Biodiesel Analyzers & InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometers can be ordered with or without a factory calibration. Two ranges of biodiesel standards and factory calibrations are available: 0-30% and 0-100%. The InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometer and InfraCal 2 Model ATR-B can store multiple calibrations. A factory calibration using calibration standards prepared by a certified laboratory prepares the analyzer for immediate use once received. This option is strongly recommended for customers who do not wish to calibrate the analyzer themselves.

403-1050 0-30% Biodiesel in Diesel Calibration Standards
The set includes eight standards; 0, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30% biodiesel in High Cetane diesel fuel prepared by a certified laboratory. Each vial contains 20 ml of standard, good for a minimum of 15 tests. For use with InfraCal 2 ATR-B, InfraCal HATR-T2B and InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometer, Model E and ES.

403-1024 0-100% Biodiesel in Diesel Calibration Standards
The set includes ten standards; 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 50%, 75%, 95%, 100% biodiesel in High Cetane diesel fuel prepared by a certified laboratory. Each vial contains 20 ml of standard, good for a minimum of 15 tests. For use with InfraCal 2 ATR-B, InfraCal HATR-T2B and InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometer, Model E and ES.
